Cash donations to Hill CountryCares almost disappeared after September 11, 2001. It seems everyone felt helpless and frustrated about what they could do to help the victims of the terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. Sending financial help seemed to be the answer. For many people, the funds budgeted for charity were sent to these locations.

Many of the agencies serving the folks in the Texas Hill Country suffered and are still trying to recover. Hill CountryCares is one of those agencies.
